Forex Seminar
By: Anne Durrell
Those who have wanted to trade in the
foreign exchange known as forex undoubtedly understand how complex that market can be. It's much more complex than the ordinary stock market. Because of this many believe that they should take a
forex seminar, but do not know what to look for.
For instance, investors-to-be may have already learned that
forex investing requires sharp instinct, a degree of unmatched aggressiveness; the undeniable confidence in one's self, and above all a tremendous sense of discipline. This is all true, and thus a forex investor is rarely made, but rather a forex investor is taught.
There are some who will attempt to sell you on a particular seminar by trying to overwhelm you with an incredible magnitude of material, unfortunately these seminars often lack in quality.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Look at it this way, an airplane flies because it is aerodynamically constructed in order to fly, but you do not need to know how it is constructed in order to fly from one continent to the next. Nope, you just call your travel agent.
A good
forex seminar will teach you first of all the basics of the common
trading terminology so that you are not stymied by vocabulary that is part and parcel of the forex trade.
Also, in a decent
forex seminar, they will cover not only locating profitable trades to be made, but also how to execute them by thinking exactly as
forex traders do, and when it's all done, you will then also know how to develop your own trading style.
Following this, the forex seminar will teach you
good money management. This means that you will learn the best contract size of your position. In other words the adjustments made to the size of the contract for the pair you intend to trade.
This involves the entry and exit prices, what your equity will be, and of course the maximum risk of the trade you are contemplating. Next you should learn technical analysis. This is where all the charts come in, and how to apply the things that are
reflected with charts.
The
mechanics of trading will be covered extensively, so that you will understand such things as multiple indicators, trading levels, Bollinger Bands, moving averages, candlestick patterns, pivot points, pip values, projection levels and Fibonacci lines. Inquire if you will be taught about many of these technical indicators prior to signing up.
Asking questions prior to agreeing to take any forex seminar is of extreme importance, as you do prior to any schooling. You will always wish to know the particulars of the seminar before investing time and possibly money into it. Remember that not all forex seminars are created equal, just as not
all forex investors are not either.
